The Templar knight statue at Craiova Airport

This statue of the Templar knight was inaugurated by the Commandery of the Knights of the Virgin Mary of the Ordo Equestri Sancti Bernardus, of Craiova. Raised as a sign of watchfulness and vigilance, it recalls the calling of the Templar knights to stand guard, in a world where Christian values are often lost and confused.

Ordo Equestri Sancti Bernardus in Alba Iulia

On 1 December 2025, in the Alba Carolina Citadel — the place where the Union was accomplished — the Ordo Equestri Sancti Bernardus, a Templar military order, stood with the Romanian Army. In that historic hour of the laying of wreaths, the knights were present and laid a wreath of flowers: a seal of honour, of gratitude, and of faith, offered before the memory of the nation and of the Holy Cross.

Acte Caritabile

The Templar knight of the twenty-first century has understood his calling in civil society. He serves the Christian tradition in the spirit — and he serves his neighbour in deed. Where families in need can no longer provide for themselves, the knights perform works of charity from the soul: bread for the hungry, a roof for those without a home, a gift for the child who waits. This is no charity of display, but a vow fulfilled. The cross upon the mantle seals the same service: the faith that prays, and the heart that gives.
