Our History: The Call to Unity and Service under the Sign of the Holy Cross
On 16 May 2026, beneath the consecrated vaults, heavy with grace, of the Cathedral “Parrocchia Santa Maria d’Itria” in Reggio Calabria, Italy, a divine call descended upon those gathered in prayer. There, by the will of God and by the burning desire to gather the spiritual hosts under a single vision, the Federation of Christian Orders (F.O.C.) came into being. This holy covenant of fraternity was sealed by three pillars of hope of Christian chivalry: Ordre du Dragon, Ordo Equestri Sancti Bernardus and Ordo Teutonicus Hermann von Salza. Together, in a spirit of humility and courage, we united our prayers and our ideals in order to revive, to keep, and to hand on the unstained flame of Christian tradition and education, in a world that thirsts for Truth. The foundation upon which we build our mission is the very Rock of Faith, together with the timeless virtues of honour and responsibility. We have taken up the holy calling to be a defending shield of Christian values and a bridge of light between the deep spirituality of ages past and the trials of the contemporary world. Through the education of the soul, through tireless works of mercy, and through fraternal support, we raise a living dwelling of the love of Christ — a space in which faith is not only confessed in word, but lived with strength through deeds, through dignity, and through the sacrificial service of one’s neighbour. Looking with hope toward the future and carrying in our hearts the love of our ancestral land, we hold a blessed desire: to root our work in Romanian soil. With the help of the Good God, we intend to raise our own church and the central seat of the Federation in the Garden of the Mother of God — Romania. There, under the Holy Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God, we wish to build not only walls of stone, but a spiritual fortress of peace, of light, and of salvation, leaving to future generations a living witness of Christian love. Under the banner of the Cross and of the love of the Saviour, we go forward, fighting the good fight, with hearts open toward heaven and with arms always outstretched toward the one in need.

Cathedral “Parrocchia Santa Maria d’Itria”, Reggio Calabria
Dedicated to Our Lady Odigitria — “She who shows the Way” — the church of Santa Maria d’Itria in Reggio Calabria has its roots in the thirteenth century, already attested in 1262 as a place of prayer of the Byzantine tradition. Raised to a parish in 1631 and rebuilt after the earthquakes of 1873 and 1908, it was blessed anew in 1928. Beneath its consecrated vaults, on 16 May 2026, the birth of the Federation of Christian Orders was sealed.

The event of 16 May 2026
By their presence at the event of 16 May 2026, every knight gathered there received, each in his own person, the standing of founder of the Federation of Christian Orders, sealed by the Federation’s credential and medal. With gratitude in our hearts, we thank every knight who was present, and we pray that, under the sign of the Holy Cross, this Federation may grow into a pillar of hope and a strong support of Christian culture.
